About Nippers

Every parent wants their child to lead a happy, healthy and active youth. There is no better place for this than introducing your child to surf lifesaving and nippers.

At Elouera we strive to provide a fun environment in which children can learn surf safety, gain Surf Life Saving awards and participate in competition at surf carnivals.

Nippers is about learning, confidence and having fun in a safe beach environment. For Nippers, the beach is the classroom. They gain confidence by passing the ‘tests’ of swimming, body boarding, beach sprints, dolphin-diving, spotting a rip, having fun with new friends and discovering things about themselves.

Nippers is a junior program that introduces children aged 5 to 13 to surf lifesaving. It is a fun outdoors activity that grows a child’s confidence, teaches valuable life skills and knowledge.

Nippers is a great way for children to make friends, be active and enjoy the beach. At Elouera we offer a training program that caters for all levels of abilities. We also have training camps.

Our education program offers children an educational pathway through the delivery of the SLSA Junior Development Program. Where they can obtain SLSA awards.

Nippers is not just about competition, whilst we provide a comprehensive training program free of charge and pay for carnival entry fees for competitors.

We have an R&R (Rescue & Resuscitation) were kids get the opportunity to perform the time honored rescue & Resuscitation routine. We also have a march past section that have won numerous carnivals and state titles.

At Elouera we pride ourselves on accommodating kids with special needs and or disabilities. Nippers provides activities that all kids can participate in.
